Holiday at Lake Balaton at moderate prices in the András Thatched Guesthouse in Tihany

Even a bigger group can be accommodated in our guesthouse. Guests can stay in a 2-room apartment and separate rooms in the loft of our house. Up to 14 persons can be accommodated in our house.
The apartment consists of a double room, a triple room, a bathroom with shower , cable TV and a
lounge with oven , cooking, washing-up and dining facilities
Up to 6 persons can be accommodated in the apartment with the addition of extra beds.
Individual rooms: Separate double rooms, each with a shower room, refrigerator and TV set. A microwave oven is available in the lobby.
We also serve breakfast for an additional fee upon request. Our prices are indicative, in case of individual offers we are open to negotiation.
Description and information
Our offer is aimed at reliable customers only, to whom we provide a civilized environment at an affordable price. Being born in Tihany, I can provide friendly advice in discovering the opportunities of Tihany. The loft of our house, situated in the immediate vicinity of the Inner Lake (an anglers’ paradise), offers an excellent opportunity for a Balaton holiday. The nearby Tihany Family Leisure Park offers recreation to children and adults alike. As our house is a modern thatched house built in 1994, staying in the loft is enjoyable even without ait conditioning.
Besides our loft lounge, we are also proud of our terrace with a grapevine-covered grapevine, which is an excellent place for meals and joint programmes. Our summer video shows this perfectly. Cars can be parked in our yard. The building has a central heating system, so guests are welcome throughout the year.
The owner has completed a course in geological excursions organized by the National Park. He can introduce the guests to the unique volcanic and post volcanic activity of Tihany, which received a European Diploma of Protected Areas in 2003, in the frame of an organized tour or walk. During such a tour, he can take you to the Golden House, the Monks’ Caves, the Little Forest, Mount Apáti and Mount Csúcshegy. These tours allow to follow the traces of volcanic activity (volcanic bombs, thermal springs, xenoliths) at exploration survey sites . This way, we can not only admire, but understand the processes that took place here.
