Zsályás-ház Tornabarakony

Tornabarakony is one of the smallest settlements in Hungary, located in the Cserehát.
It is a quiet holiday village in a beautiful setting on the Blue Hiking Trail. The village has a Greek Catholic church with iconostasis.
Aggtelek, Jósvafő, Kassa are within reach.
The long farmhouse built in 1912 has two rooms.
Between the two rooms is the fully equipped kitchen. After the back room is the laundry room and the bathroom with shower and toilet. This room is also accessible from the porch.
Very basic groceries and condiments are in the house and are free to use. We also have a free shelf where you can buy canned food, rice, pasta, porridge, eggs, bread, beer, mineral water, etc.
By prior arrangement we can help you with the purchase of raw materials for meals. We cannot provide meals, but there are people in the area who can help.
The house is heated with electric heaters and fireplaces. In the heating season, we charge extra for heat.
The house was renewed in 2021 under the Kisfaludy Programme.
