The Pécs- Mecsek wine district which extends from the border of Somogy to Tolna county with its 1000 ys old past is particularly the home of white wine. The vineyard of Szigetvár well known as Turbék is located on the most western part of Pécs- Mecsek wine district. The number of sunny hours is high and its soil is perfectly suitable for wine growing.

The family venture started in1993 with purchasing a more than 150ys old cellar which is hollowed into loess. Many guests have walked down on its steps to taste the wines of the barrels lining up 23 meters. We mix the traditional and modern technology during processing our grapes and curing the wine. Our excellent quality wines (Királyleányka, Olaszlizring) were first bottled in 1994 and also appeared on nationwide wine competitions where they reached the best results. Since then we have been taking part in local, regional and nationwide competitions and the awards decorate our restaurant’s walls. Our guests can taste regional Hungarian dishes in the 60-seat restaurant which is above the cellar and we offer the excellent award winning wines to consume on the spot or take home. Groups are welcome according to registration in advance. We provide extraordinary Hungarian menu for special events like wedding parties, christening celebrations or private functions. The customer is free to select the menu to his choice. The beautiful landscape, good wines and the hospitality can be enjoyed during several days since we also run a pension upstairs where there are six double rooms with showers and toilets.In the morning delicious breakfast is served as well.
