Gyűrűfű Lovastanya Guesthouse
Gyűrűfű is located in a National Park the beautiful valleys of the South Zselic Hills in southern Hungary. The village thrived until the 1970s’ when the site was abandoned and fell into disrepair only to be reborn as an ecovillage in the 1990’s.
The reconstruction of Gyűrűfű followed strict ecological guidelines so as to minimize impact on the environment. To this end all the buildings are made from natural elements such as its rammed earth, mud bricks, stone and wood. Sewage is cleansed using reed beds and heating is provided by solar energy and solid fuel stores.
This is comprised of a large detached guest house divided into 2 self-contained apartments.
